Rewilding Coaching FAQs

What is Rewilding Coaching?

Rewilding Coaching is a personalized, integrative program designed to help you reconnect with your authentic self by releasing the conditioning, beliefs, and emotional patterns that keep you stuck. It blends nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and subconscious reprogramming practices to support deep transformation — from the inside out.

It’s about coming back to who you were before the world told you who to be.

Who is Rewilding Coaching for?

This work is for driven individuals who feel anxious, unfulfilled, or disconnected — despite external success.

It’s especially supportive if you:

  • Feel overwhelmed, burned out, or emotionally shut down

  • Are navigating a life transition, spiritual awakening, or loss of purpose

  • Want to feel more alive, connected, and at peace

  • Are ready to explore your inner world, not just manage the symptoms of past events and trauma

How is this different from traditional coaching or therapy?

Most coaching focuses on consciously reshaping habits and mindsets in order to move toward future goals.

Traditional talk therapy focuses on understanding the past and the events that have made you who you are today.

Rewilding Coaching goes deeper — working with the nervous system, subconscious mind, and emotional body to process the effects of the past and move into the future with clarity and confidence.

What tools are used in Rewilding Coaching?

Every journey is customized to the individual client, but may include:

  • Hypnotherapy

  • NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming)

  • EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) "tapping"

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • Life coaching

What kinds of results can I expect?

While each client’s path is unique, some of the most common outcomes include:

  • Deepened self-awareness and emotional resilience

  • Reduction in anxiety, panic, and chronic stress

  • Clarity around life direction and authentic desires

  • Renewed confidence, energy, and vitality

  • Stronger boundaries and more nourishing relationships

  • A deep sense of peace, purpose, and belonging

How do I know if Rewilding Coaching is right for me?

If you’ve tried talk therapy or personal development work but still feel stuck…
If you’re exhausted from performing, overthinking, or constantly striving…
If a part of you knows there’s something more, something deeper calling…

Then this work is likely a powerful next step.

Hypnosis FAQs

What is hypnosis, really?

Hypnosis is a natural, relaxed state of focused awareness, in which your subconscious mind becomes more open to positive suggestions and transformation. Contrary to myths, you’re not asleep or unconscious — you’re awake, aware, and in control the entire time.

It feels a lot like a guided meditation, but with targeted change work happening beneath the surface.

What can hypnosis help with?

Hypnosis is incredibly effective for addressing fears/phobias, beliefs, and habits or behaviors. It works on issues rooted in the subconscious mind by shifting the underlying emotional patterns and beliefs that drive your thoughts and behaviors..

It is especially effective against:

  • Anxiety, panic attacks, and chronic stress

  • Emotional burnout and overwhelm

  • Low self-worth and inner criticism

  • Sleep issues and overthinking

  • Unprocessed trauma, grief, or self-sabotage

Will I lose control during hypnosis?

Not at all. Hypnosis is not mind control — it’s a collaborative process.

You’ll be in a deeply relaxed but focused state, and you’ll be aware of everything happening. You can’t be made to do or say anything you don’t want to. You’re always in charge.

Can anyone be hypnotized?

Yes, as long as they’re willing and open to the process.

You don’t need to be highly suggestible or “good at meditating.”
If you can follow guided instructions and allow yourself to relax, you can benefit from hypnosis.

EFT FAQs

What is EFT and how does it work?

EFT, also known as tapping, is a mind-body technique that combines gentle stimulation of acupressure points with verbal processing to reduce emotional intensity and restore balance to the nervous system.
By tapping on specific meridian points while acknowledging thoughts or feelings, you can shift how those emotions live in the body — creating space for clarity, calm, and healing.

What can EFT help with?

EFT is effective for a wide range of emotional and physical challenges, including:

  • Anxiety, stress, and overwhelm

  • Emotional reactivity or mood swings

  • Limiting beliefs and self-sabotage

  • Trauma-related symptoms (without re-traumatization)

  • Shame, grief, or unprocessed anger

Do I need to talk in detail about painful memories for EFT to work?

Not at all. EFT can be incredibly effective even with minimal or vague references to the issue.

Because it works with the body’s energy system and not just the story, you can experience deep release without having to relive or analyze the entire memory. The process is gentle, trauma-informed, and always led at your pace.

What can I expect in an EFT session?

Most clients report a noticeable emotional shift — feeling lighter, calmer, clearer, or more grounded.

It’s common to experience physical sensations like yawning, tingling, warmth, or tears as energy moves.

Sessions are interactive and intuitive — we’ll explore your inner landscape together while gently releasing what's ready to shift.

Can I use EFT on my own?

Yes, EFT was developed to be easily accessible to anyone.

While working with a guide can support deeper emotional healing, I teach my clients how to use EFT between sessions.

It’s a simple and empowering self-regulation tool you can use anywhere — ideal for managing triggers, anxiety, or big emotions as they arise.

EMDR FAQs

What is EMDR and how does it work?

EMDR is a trauma-processing modality that helps the brain “unstick” emotionally charged memories and reprocess them in a way that brings relief and resolution.

Using bilateral stimulation — such as eye movements or tapping — EMDR helps the brain rewire its response to past events, allowing you to experience them without the same emotional intensity or overwhelm you might have felt in the past.

What can EMDR help with?

EMDR is most known for its effectiveness on trauma, but it supports:

  • PTSD, complex trauma, and developmental wounds

  • Anxiety, panic attacks, and phobias

  • Grief, heartbreak, and emotional loss

  • Shame, inner criticism, and low self-worth

  • Attachment wounds and relationship triggers

Do I have to relive my trauma in order for EMDR to work?

No. You’ll be gently guided to bring up the memory enough for your brain to begin reprocessing it, but you won’t be “stuck” in it or asked to share every detail.

The focus is on what’s happening in your body and mind now, not rehashing the past. You’ll remain resourced and supported the entire time.

How is EMDR different from traditional therapy or coaching?

Talk therapy focuses on insight and understanding. Coaching focuses on goals and action.

EMDR works deeper — directly with the brain’s memory and threat response systems.

It allows your body and subconscious mind to heal trauma without needing to rationalize or explain it all.

Can EMDR be done virtually?

Yes, EMDR can be highly effective online.

I felt comfortable with Laurel from the very first session. It’s obvious she is caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. She helped me work through some unconscious and addictive habits, and provided practical tools that I can use in my everyday life to identify these triggers and work towards creating new, healthier habits. Laurel did an excellent job creating a safe space for the deep work to be done. I was able to be vulnerable and access places in my subconscious that were previously inaccessible.

— Phil S.

Laurel has been helping me for a while now filling me with positive affirmation and strategies for life's oncoming struggles and dealing with personal emotions. I struggled for years with depression and her expertise and influence has given me more change over the past year and a half than in the past two decades. I don't think I would have made it here without her and it's given me determination, drive, and purpose. She is fully dedicated to my growth and has excellent advice, patience, and understanding.
